Location

Fort William & the Highlands really can be the Scotland of your imagination. Mountains, lochs, culture, history, architecture and amazing scenery.

The A82 leaves Fort William heading north, passing the turn off to The Road to The Isles and then the Ben Nevis Distillery. A short distance further, Ben Nevis is visible to the right and shortly afterwards the road to Camisky and ‘An Falach’ Holiday Cottage.

We are 4 miles in total from Fort William beside a quiet road with lovely views over farmland and towards the mountains.

Your hosts Liz and Kenny, are experienced in providing the highest quality accommodation as they run their 5 Star reviewed Bed and Breakfast, ‘Highwinds’, which is adjacent to the holiday cottage.

An Falach – ‘The Hide’ in Scottish GaelicĀ

The main road that runs north and south is a short drive from ‘An Falach’ holiday cottage. South will take you to Fort William and Ben Nevis and also the Road to The Isles. Going north it is a short drive to Nevis Range and then on to Spean Bridge and the Commando Memorial – and of course on to Loch Ness and Inverness. For those who like to walk or cycle, turn right on the quiet single track road directly from ‘An Falach’. This road tracks the River Lochy through to crossroads near to Spean Bridge and provides great options for circular cycle routes. Or for those who prefer something easier the nearby cycle cycle track goes to Nevis Range or Fort William.
